SAME HERE AS OF THIS MONDAY. CHECKING VERSIONS HANGS INDEFINITELY.

V4.6 INSTALLED ON EITHER WINXP OR WIN7(32 BIT) THROUGH WINE/PLAYONLINUX
ALSO TRIED V4.6 INSTALLED ON WINXP SP3 - ORIGINAL MACHINE!!!:)

SOMETHING MUST HAVE CHANGED ON THE SERVER PART.
UP TO SUNDAY, MARCH 28TH THERE WERE NO ISSUES.

Looks like changes on the server shouldn't cause such behavior...

Disgruntled, which OS/hardware you use?

LUSTB1TCH, you started it on linux, under wine-win7 emulation and wine-winxp emulation, and then you tried winxp and got the same result?

I have no idea how to reproduce the issue, my winxp works fine with it, same as on other computers...

Also, try to join backup server, is the problem present on it too?

No idea how such issue is possible, but rolled all the changes back. Let me know if the problem is still present or disappeared...

YES I THINK BACKUP SERVER HAD SIMILAR PROBLEM. WHEN I TRIED MOUSETOPHER SERVER IT DIDN'T HANG UP, IT JUST SAID INVALID SERVER.

PLAYONLINUX/WINXP 32BIT INSTALLATION IS WHAT I USE DAILY. (V4.6 LAMBCHOPS INSTALLED)

THE ORIGINAL PC WITH WINXP SP3 WAS WORKING UP UNTIL JANUARY 2021.
AFTER THAT IT WOULD CLOSE AFTER TRYING TO CONNECT TO WAR2.RU. INSTALLED THE NEWEST VERSION 4.6 - SAME OUTCOME. TO BE HONEST I HAVEN'T TRIED THAT ONE SINCE.

hm, i hope you installed combat not into "program files" directory?
actually i didn't check that on linux, but should work fine also...
At least winxp sp3 works fine as for me, just checked...

Looks like the problem requires your assistance. I'm not sure if you are the only one who have such problem, but that's very important to understand and resolve.
Do you have a discord account to chat in realtime?

IN PLAYONLINUX VIRTUAL WINXP & WIN7 DRIVES WAR2COMBAT IS INSTALLED IN C:\War2Combat (INSTALLER DEFAULT)

IN WINXP (NO EMULATION) ITS INSTALLED IN C:\Program Files\War2Combat (AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN SINCE THE BEGINNING OF WAR.RU - SEPERATE FROM BLIZZARD'S BNET EDITION DIRECTORY)

YESTERDAY, AFTER SOME SERVER CHANGES HAD BEEN REVERTED I WAS ABLE TO LOG IN NORMALLY TO BOTH WAR.RU AND BACKUP SERVER (USING PLAYONLINUX).

RIGHT NOW, AGAIN I CAN'T LOG IN.

I DON'T HAVE A DISCORD ACCOUNT, BUT I CAN CREATE ONE AND TRY TO HELP IN ANY WAY I CAN :)

It's possibly became not working from program files since January, try to move it to C:\war2combat or w/e...
Not sure about war2combat under wine, should look into that. I looked and i can see you try to join and... just disconnect.
I still have no idea how that happens. Need some tests probably.

normal oldfashion warcraft under wine
getting hung up on getting to JUST this server

so something must have changed server side in last week?
(fancy banner? etc?) (updated bne?)

Looks like yes, we are working on some changes together with mistral. Though i tried to roll some changes back, LUSTB1TCH said it didn't help, so i repeated these changes again.

Oh, you also use wine under linux? That's important info, i didn't test that under wine.
Rolled it back again, try now.
I'll also try to install linux & wine to test...

I USE WACRAFT UNDER PLAYONLINUX FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS WITH NO ISSUES NO MATTER THE INSTALLED VERSION OF PLAYONLINUX OR WAR2COMBAT (V4.01 - V4.6) OR LINUX (MINT 18,19,20 BASED ON UBUNTU LTS)

CONNECTION HAS BEEN FAILING AFTER CHANGES ON THE SERVER WERE IMPLEMENTED IN THE LAST FEW DAYS.
WHEN THESE CHANGES ARE REVERTED, LIKE RIGHT NOW, I CAN LOG IN!!

AS FOR THE OLDER ORIGINAL WINXP SYSTEM THAT STOPPED CONNECTING SINCE JANUARY, I WILL TRY CHANGING THE INSTALLATION LOCATION. HOWEVER I'M NOT USING THAT ONE DAILY, SO I'LL HAVE TO GET BACK TO YOU ON THAT LATER. IT'S NOT THAT URGENT.

Also, please, try your old computer with XP SP3. Should probably not work for program files, and should work for C:\war2combat or w/e if i understand properly...

Ok I got those errors too, everything worked well untill now.
[Win 10 64-bit, latest 4.6 client]

I joined BackUp server once, but later got the same error on both servers.
