Hello. I just downloaded the game and the sound pack. The game (both with and without the sound pack) have unplayable FPS lag, mainly when moving more than one unit.
I run Windows 10, and have a top of the line computer. I've tried everything recommended for windows 10 users without success as well as different compatibility modes. I didn't see anyone else having this issue, so I figured I'd make a post myself.
Thanks in advance.

First is first let's get some info about your PC.
Hold down the windows key and press R
Now type your msinfo32 and click ok.
Take a screenshot and upload it here.
Or give me your model and serial number on the computer.

@glenT since you posted this several people have asked a similar question in the Discord server, and the solution that seems to be working consistently is to install the newest ddraw patch available on the website (only takes a second to do). see here: http://en.war2.ru/ddraw (http://en.war2.ru/ddraw)

Thanks for tagging me. I never figured it out so I just haven't played yet. I'll give this a whirl when I get home tonight. Will report back.

THB Windows 10 is just a horrible pile of spyware.
For WC2 and probably lots of other retro software, I think your best bet is to install VirtualBox with an older OS .... XP works great for WC2.
So your main OS is win10 then you can just boot a virtual machine off your desktop.
Your PC looks to have more than enough power a heap of VMs so once you have VirtualBox set up it should be pretty painless.
