Title: Query: confused with 4 new start menu programs

The latest Warcraft II download has 4 new programs in start menu:

Activated War2Combat
War2Combat loader
War2Combat without patches
Warcraft 2 Process patcher

What are the differences between each?
If I just want to play a normal game with another friend, which one should I use?

use war2combat loader

^ Yes. That's the same shortcut as the desktop that's created during installation.

Yes, loader is the main way to start.
Activated is alternative (if loader is not fine for your for some reason).
Without patches could be used if you want to join official bnet server for example (after you manually change the cd-key to legal).
Patcher is a separate application to change/observe your applied patches
