I was never a chop player, but not so long in the distant past it seemed as though the player ratio went like thus:
40% GoW/pud players
40% Chop (Proper Farms)
20% Other Customs like paintball, archers, etc.
Now it seems more like:
60% GoW/pud players
30% Other Customs
10% Chop
I hold no love in my heart for chop players because I found the map repetitive and there were a few elites in there that were accused of hacking (like the N4L clan for awhile), but how did that community just disappear? At one point they were a sizable portion of the community, now I see it's a struggle to get 1s or 2s on chop.
I don't see this as alarming because I know literally nothing about the chop community... but an interesting observation nonetheless.

I think there is still more chop players than other custom players, but most of the chop players are newbs or averages, and the pros/old players we used to know are missing.

No, but I see the games. Chop seems cool, I just never learned it.
