Maybe a noob question but is there a way to do a multiplayer game against AI? like 2 vs 4 computers?
Thanks.

You mean having a cpu as an ally? I don't think so. I know it's possible on SC tho [emoji52]

Log onto server.war2.ru, host a game, put in 4 comps, and have a friend join you to ally against them.
-
i didn't see an option in the drop down to add computers?
-
Once you've hosted the game and before you launch, you can click any of the slots and set them to Open, Closed, Computer.

that's what i thought but when i click on that drop down, all i see is open and close. is it map specific? its been sooooo long since ive done this

Use the built-in maps imo. Computers don't know how to play customs anyway.

Normal built in maps(BNEs) will work well with computers, some customs the computer will just sit there and not move or build though(PBall the computer will sit there). RPG maps are fun they are custom maps specifically made to play vs the computer. The object of an RPG is to use a 1 or a few men to kill all of the computers men. You would have to download some RPGs from the sites map packs or from another person though, they are fun though.

Oh also since this was brought up earlier in the thread I thought I'd answer it. There is a way to ally with the computer vs other computers but it doesn't work that great. You almost have to make a special map that would work for it. Anyway though to make a computer an ally make them rescue(ACTIVE) in map editor, make sure its active not passive. The computer will then build and fight like your ally(with no vision though), UNTIL YOU TOUCH THEM. Once you touch them you will control all their units, so making a map where they are separated from you by water or something is the best way to do this.

This is exactly why I'm hosting a CUSTOM MAP competition.
Too many players are custom and are easily bored with regular maps. This game was success with custom maps.

Computers also don't know how to play Water Maps very well since they don't know how to expand on diff islands.
