Title: [done] Direct Draw Error

Haven't played in a while and getting withdrawals. I had to reinstall war2 and now when I try to launch it says "direct draw error". Wtf do I do. I'm not a computer whiz so plz explain in idiot language what I need to do. I'm not ready to retire yet.

What operating system you have going on that machine? Also make sure if window 8 or above don't use the color fix when you install.

Oh make sure your virus scanner is not removing the file or blocking it somehow.

Tried with and without color fix and didn't work. I have Windows 8. I don't have any active virus scanner or firewall enabled. The direct draw error message states that I was unable to switch video modes. "The error encountered while trying to switch video modes was: Not implemented, vidinimo_PC.cpp line 158, and SetDisplayMode"

Okay check for driver updates if you know how. Then also try changing your resolution see if that has any effect. All set. I tried to follow the steps in the forum link u sent. Not sure if I followed their steps correctly but what worked for me is going to properties on the war2 launch icon and there is a compatibility tab. Then I ran the compatibility troubleshooter and it fixed the problem. Thanks bro!
