Since I posted this I did get a lot of negative replies . But sadly not one person has helped yet . Several have offered but not one actually helped
I posted this 2 weeks ago , we needed 120 in the first month to get the 10,000 target . I understand we had server issues and it was actually lucky we didn't start initially .
Guys lets actually make this happen. Please reply if you can help with on of the below tasks or if you would like to brain storm a new idea to add to the list below.
Don't reply with your "hater " comments . If your one of the people who don't want the server to grow , then just don't respond please.
can anyone do any one of the following tasks we need to assign one task to each person.
1. Facebook , create a Facebook page . Not as a person but not as a page . I will help it go out. I just need someone to Controll it . I can advise on the type of things to put in it if needed. (Who ever has access to this can they please contact me )
2. A YouTube video promoting the game I can help these videos get hits, I can guarantee 70,000. Not a video of a game u played but one promoting the game and server.
Please ensure
1. Promote game
2. Direct to website
3. Advertise u verse real people
4. That it's free to download
3. A help desk in the website where people download the game . Very simply live help box where experienced people can help newbs . Someone will need to Controll / install it and create some type of roster. ( this has been brainstormed in server with both positive and negative feedback ). I feel the best way to do it would just give the option to be a "operator" of the live help to everyone . Encourage all players to have the help desk open when in Warcraft . Eventually the people U help login will be helping others .
4. No rejecting people for games rule. There is No use in the new guys coming and not being able to get games. Or create a channel solely for new people.
This again was brainstormed but again nothing was finalised
5. Create a real tournament ladder ( similar to that of cases ladder) ie an active ladder where you move up 1/2 the way for beating some1. Or if your 100 and you beat 50 u move to 75. If you 20 and you beat 1, you move to 10. If you lose you move down one spot
6. Offer incentives if people bring a friend or friends to the server. Will encourage current people and also new people to bring their friends and post on their Facebook page. ( help growth, I don't know what incentive , new logo next to name??? Unsure please brainstorm )
To hit a target of 10,000 new members in 12 months . We need to get 120 new members in the first month, then grow exponentially at 50% per month for 12 months . The first point would be to get the 120 new members and then we can go from there

i wonder if the forum user "dellam" is actually a completely different player who just registered the name dellam on the forums... i feel like this might be the case
i cant for the life of me understand why:
1) a person (dellam) who has spent the last few years trying to destroy the community with hacking would all of the sudden want to rebuild it ... unless maybe said person realized if everyone continues to disappear he wont have anyone to hack/troll against any more
2) why the admins seem to be enabling and even encouraging his claims

Will you manage that helpdesk requests by your own forces? I don't think we have anybody in our community to be online all the time on this help box. If you have your own staff for that, that would be fine.

Well, example: i want to play with 3 my russian best friends. I create a game tvb gow rus/123 and don't welcome others. Should it be prohibited, how do you think?
Or i create a game "gow good 2s" with no password and wait until good players join. Then 3 good players join and 1 more who doesn't know what's 9s, how to watch or w/e. Should we play with him with no chance for his team?
Also, should we ban people who kick others from their games for some reasons? I think we will see an empty server soon...

Agree. I also would he happy to find anybody who can do it. We have about 120000 reports, need the software to parse and upload all of them to the database and build ladder system based on it.
Any algorythms are welcomed.

Well, referral system? Invite your friends and receive 10% of their wins on your personal /stats or something?
Anyway, that could be a good idea to keep that invitation links, to know how many people have been invited by whom.

AUS finger = ban. any active player knows this. and now here he comes with his 'ideas' to 'help the server' and we have little noobie conformist iL discussing his 'ideas' and even you supporting him.

I guarantee you one thing, when the server does die and you go in there and you cannot get a game for days on end you will be sad then and wishing that you had listen to me.
I feel that you know for a fact I don't hack. I think that you realise my ideas are obviously great ideas that need to be implemented. The only reason that you are against them is because of the fact that you do not like me and you would rather see the server die than to admit that my idea was a good one.
They are six very simple and obvious steps that you need to take to get to the 10,000 membership that I first told you about. I have logic/there is method to the madness. Unlike you quoting to be the president of China and bringing in the worlds population a year... Unrealistic ( probably like you live your life .... Dreaming )

When me and burnt advertised we had over 70,000 views over the course of a month or two. There were at least 200 people who came to the server to check it out in that time period. Almost every single one of them left never to come back within an hour.
Impossible to get games
No support from community or inactive Adkins
Hosting was still a fairly serious issue
Immediately banned from all games
Bringing people to the server is pointless if there are not Admins/members within the community willing to help.
... but yah, claw is right. Even slightly entertaining the idea that anything Dellam says is anything more than a troll might not have the highest IQ

Yeah, so what about Lance? From what I've heard he did a hell of a lot worse back in the day, and yet here he is now and no one bats an eye. What about tupac? Apparently he did some shit too, and now he's spearheading antihack development. What about you? Lotta people hate you, but not long ago you had a pretty good stretch of giving valuable input & suggestions, contributing utilities, etc.
I honestly have no past experience with dellam, so it's up to other admins whether or not they think he should be banned on sight. (Apparently not.) I do know that if USA-Archer shows up in a year and starts offering "helpful suggestions" I won't be having that shit for a second, so who knows, maybe you're right and this is a comparable situation, but it's not my place to make that call. IMO though his OP is potentially more valuable than 90% of the bullcrap that's been posted in the last month, prolly 50% of which consists of someone saying "lazy admins" or some variation thereof. :p And the other 50% is offers to buy the server I think.

I never ddos the server or injected, dumped db, Im guilty of scanning them and sending my opinion to iL. Even when a hacker before send the hole he was using. I never took over the server. Never ever put a back door in my software. I stole 1 guys password from my own server I'm guilty of that and development of hacks and bots.
Rit is cool and I think he likes me after what I did. I put bots to good use for tech support, and icons soon you all will see. I also developed the methods for detecting my software, and other developers too. There are limits that I did not cross for a reason when I could have easily.. I didn't hack or ddos our server like lance and archer.... I didn't get that low.
Lance is smart and a great contribute to the community. But he broke that one bond.
None of this would of ever happend if me and burnt didn't disagree. But it's all neutral now.

If dellam can get us 120 users in one month. I would let him hack in my games for a month without reporting or hacking him. I'm working on like 500 things so just finished one recently so now my attention is off icons.. I will put more time into my video and finish it next few days

The guy is one big troll .. that's all he does.. that's why he hacks. his only reason for frequenting the server is to fuck with other people. that's literally it. nothing else. thats what makes him happy... that is how his brain works. thats all he has done on the server the last few years. he logs on, blatantly hacks against people ( hall > temple > dks) .. watches them get upset and repeats it until he gets banned.... only to log on a proxy and do it again.
his claims of bringing people back to the server is another troll. he's fucking with whoever will let him fuck with them (apparently admins have volunteered to be fucked with).
it just amazes the shit out of me that anyone would take this seriously at all.. even remotely entertain the idea that dellam would have any meaningful contribution to the server or follow through with anything that he says

The video is very long ... Not really an advert . But it should give u an idea of what I can do. No longer guaranteeing 70,000 minimum, girls say it will be about 1/3 of that (minimum) with no maximum . It's also their first time marketing outside Australia / Indonesia .

this. also as for tupac and lance, their advice should always be taken with a grain of salt and limited trust. for example use sandbox to run tupac hostbot etc.
