Title: virus total reports as malware
Post by: foobarbaz on March 12, 2024, 08:21:23 PM
Virus Total is a website that uses multiple antivirus databases to identify threats. The latest EXE is marked as malware by Bitdefender and G-data.

Avast also blocks the download, could something be done about that I think it drives away potential new players.

As for virustotal, many antiviruses are currently profanation.
Because they flag almost everything as viruses that does not have a _paid_ signature. This is a kind of extortion.

So... Any user can help in this matter:
If your antivirus has marked a normal file as unsafe, contact its technical support for a “false positive”. If this is an adequate company, with the next update your antivirus will no longer warn about this file. If not, you know what to do: there are a lot of real antiviruses.

so Ed, u see that people still up to date mark combat edition as false positive ? So prob. youtube algorithm did the same and fucked me up.

what could it be ? because its .exe ? unless u can make possible to have war2 in portable mode so it shouldn't be marked as virus.
