starcraft 1 has been redone in HD blizz has a tweet setup to tell stories etc..
if we could find the right person to reppresent the community to tweet the story that they didnt play sc1 because they were playing warcraft 2 and you still are. then the rest of us go support that tweet.

thats the purpose of the war2 tweet bomb. who care what they think. show them there is players and interest and a chance to promote what we have here...new players? old players who dont know? whats blizz gonna do shut us down. we already lost war2.warcraft.org which sucks.

We lost occult cause axotol was inactive and new playerw coudnt make account so yes we"lost" it

There simply isn't enough intrest in blizzard to redo an old rts like war2

No need for the to redo it. Just let them make it Open Source :-D. We can do the rest ;-)
Perhaps our community could request it with a small petition. War2 is abandon ware. We can request them to provide the source; under the premises that we will maintain it and do bug fixes.

Had nothing to do with Axo, Chains didn't give Axo root access... He's a solid guy but
we never heard back from him for some reason. Axo could maybe try his work e-mail or his brother...
The guy is probably busy as hell, but I can't imagine it taking much time at all.

It would be super great if in the new SC release if they just included War2 as like a side-game, bonus content. It would bring more new players than we could ever imagine, attach War2 to their matchmaking service, and so on.

we dont need the source,im sure there's enuff people around here to just reverse it and also if people really wanted to... just build a completely new engine.
