Title: Dedicated to Vladimir aka VOVA1
Post by: tolsty on February 18, 2024, 11:22:02 AM
My English is not enough to write everything that I wrote on the Russian forum. The translator will not be able to translate some subtleties. So I'll try to write briefly.
For the second time I find out that a War2 player, whom I knew on the server for a long time and whom I treated with respect, has died. The first time was in 2020. It was Choppy. Also in the year of his 60th birthday...
I will remember VOVA1 as a true chop card fan. As a person with whom we fought shoulder to shoulder for several years, with whom we went through many battles in our favorite game on our favorite map.
A person is alive as long as the memory of him is alive. He will continue to live, including in his children.

I remember when I first came back to Warcraft 2 back in 2009. The chop farms community at the time was fairly large relative to the time period.
Vova I will say was one of the most active war2 players for years back then. He would always play humans and would go for a 2 mage tower strat and try to mage his opponents.
I remember playing hundreds if not thousands of games with him over the years. He will certainly be missed by many.

RIP Vladimir,

I was lucky enough to play a few games with him in his brief return. He never really said much in English, but I know he was well liked by the chop veterans.

RIP Vova1  :tear: You will always be remembered by the chop community as a dedicated chop player and as a kind person who never talked anything bad about anyone. Your skills actually improved towards the end after being pretty stagnant for years lol, I was happy to witness that  :chuckisthemuscle:

Bummer when we loose long time players.
Played a lot of games with this brother and i've missed him for some time now. I wondered what happened to him.
Thank you for letting us know Tolsty.  :tear:

That was a good read, nice to know more of vova1 the legendary chopper  8)

Btw, northern lights are not dangerous to humans in any way, only to electronics if the radiation is powerful enough. We have a lot of them, especially in northern Finland.
