Title: Player APM for Watchers
Post by: Player on March 09, 2023, 07:56:33 PM
@Mistral is it possible for watchers to see the APM of the player they click on?

teoretically possible but this value will be different from real
cuz some APM calculated locally on client
like camera movement and some others
other players cannot know where your camera and group hotkeys and etc etc
so u cannot calculate those from clients of other players

I don't think APM should be emphasized in War2.

It's a useless metric in this game.

does APM count every hotkey or just mouse movement?

it counts certain actions like select units or give order to units
build someting or train unit or cancel building etc all of those is CAN be KNOWN by all players
but other actions like click on minimap or use Shift+F2 for map pos etc those is know only by you, but not other players

oh and also this thing do NOT counting any mouse moving

I guess if everybody is being measured by the same standard then it creates an “adjusted” real APM, doesn’t if?

The other day I got an apm number moving between 600 and 650. I don't think its measuring it right.

you prob glithced it out and it fucked up
i know there is exists certain way to select and reselect units groups basically every game tick
there is NO protection from those because its not needed that much anyways
also this counting APM not EAPM so this counting actions EVERY time even if they repeatable and etc
