Is capitalism good or bad?
« on: May 06, 2018, 11:42:03 AM »
Capitalism shows that people that are more skilled get more recognition for it, for example, a doctor makes more than a cashier. It's the same as saying that when you were in school, you did the entire project and worked hard on it, and the person next to you didn't and they got the same score. You should get a higher score because you did better, in communism this doesn't work. Communism doesn't work because one, if you don't own it, why should you maintain it? And socialism doesn't work because it takes money people earned and gives it to the poor that did nothing to earn it.
Capitalism is fair. Would it be fair that everyone earns the same amount of money, but one works harder? No, right? Even if a country would be ruled by communism, there still will be poor and rich. It will always be this way. Therefore it can be said that capitalism is better than communism

All the arguments against capitalism are either targeted at crony capitalism, facilitated by big government, or against the unchangeable nature of the world and humanity. The rest are just completely nonsensical. People will complain about rich people controlling the government. This is true: men with big pockets will try to take advantage of government for their own ends. However, this can only happen when government is big enough. A small government which only serves to enforce the law and defend national security is less capable of being corrupted. However, powerful government organs, like the IRS and the Fed (un-democratic and unelected) open the door for cronyism, as do powerful elected officials with lots of power. Complaining about inequality is to complain about human nature itself. There will always be inequality as long as two people are left on the planet.

Tora, when citing the words of others, it's appropriate to cite the source via a name or website link or book and indicate that the material is borrowed. Failing to do so and passing others' words off as your own is plagiarism.

Capitalism could be fair if everybody started with equal opportunities. And if you competed only within your division.

Do we all start with equal opportunities?

Lets do a hybrid system: Until adulthood we have communism (everybody equal) then from 18+ we have capitalism...
Family, wealth, gender, race, etc. cant affect your growth until adulthood.

Then you are responsible for the rat race :-D

Actually, see capitalism/communism as a football championship.

In capitalism money, connections/etc affect how strong a team will be how influential it is going to be. Winning brings you more money than losing, as a result the more you win the stronger you become.
In communism all teams start at equal ground, winning or losing brings you the same amount of money thus your growth is equal with the opposite teams.

ps: I do not want to support neither Communism neither Capitalism both systems are horrible in their own ways and both systems have good ideologies behind them.

I wonder where does money comes from? I mean I know the Federal Banks print the money, but how do big companies gather such amount of money? Sales from their revenue?

Also, how do you start a country? Do you need a specific amount of money to start it?

Did Israel need money when they start their country? Or just a group of community?

Who controlled the money before there was Israel? Do you think Israel is a good country? Why Israel controls the money?

Starting a country?
lol

You need at least some land*, a central bank that is accepted and the recognition of the United Nations (some could say that this is not strictly necessary but then u are phantom nation rather than a real one).

Of course, your foundation as a country starts with forming a constitution.

The land I think it is a legal issue, because one could form a cyber country! But for it to legally be recognized you will need some reachable geographical coordinates.

For those interested, there are a few pieces of land that are still free :-D

Which lands are free?

If the United States runs a communism style, would a doctor in the US gets the same salary every month? I mean if a person works hard for a pay, what would happen to his salary in a communist country?

I see North Korea is a communist country, are all wealth equally distributed there?
