Its like there is a firewall stopping all traffic but not dropping existing connections first. My bots never 'lost connection', but they didnt function either because server wouldnt reply with responses.
That is interesting. So, did you see any new messages in bots chats? I mean bots should check connection state from time to time, so if network is down they should look like online for several minutes.
Also it's possible that server keep working established tcp connections but rejecting new.
When disconnected, they all get stuck at the "Checking Version" screen.
That's interesting because that means "connecting to the fastest server" step succeed, stuck at the 2-nd step. So connection haven't been blocked totally.
Would be interesting to check if ping server.war2.ru worked at that time.
After about 15 minutes, the server started to respond again, like some sort of firewall rule expired.
Yes, looks like some kind of protection embedded to hosting, but it's not my part of protection.
I'll try to contact hosting support, but i have no idea what to let them check.
Was there any additional activity from your ip to server when it happened?
A question about established or time_wait or w/e connections between you and server during the problem. I think could be possible to check netstat right after the problem caused, connections should not be removed immediately...
