Although I used mic in 2 streams, it seems I'll rarely be able to use mic again because my house is hectic and loud. You guys can talk crap all you want about EQ. Believe it or not even in 2021 there are lots of places where good internet is simply not an option, especially in rural areas and they have to deal with some shitty 4g and whatnot. Like woofy said he had 3 bad experiences with this 5 sec drop already, so I'd say make it something like 10-15 seconds. No need to change it back to 45 secs if someone lags that long he has most likely lost the connection already or lags so bad the game is unplayable.
This game is very sensitive about the quality of the connection and I can see that is gonna be abused by the losing players.

I had to disable Avast web protection in order to download, so it might be your antivirus that is blocking the download. Try disabling it and see if it helps. Also the download page is not working correctly right now so did you try to download it straight from http://ftp.war2.ru/war2/?

But in order to get GDI to work I had to disable freesync. If freesync is on it feels like the game limits itself to around 60fps (fraps and msi afterburner fps monitors don't seem to work with GDI), but with OpenGL high fps works with freesync on.

I'm not exactly sure why freesync would be an issue with the GDI renderer. I did a few more changes, if you want you can try it again with freesync=on and GDI:

Hmm this made the cursor a bit smoother, but as a side effect the game now freezes frequently. Like when I move a peon nothing happens for a second or two and then the peon just teleports where it should be.
Without freesync game works normally so it didn't affect that.
Yeah it's not important to have freesync in this game. Just have to turn it off when playing war2 and back on when playing other games so it's just a little inconvenience.
